Crystal Brook

The charming town of Crystal Brook effortlessly merges active businesses and community groups with a peaceful, natural setting to create a must-see destination.

The history of Crystal Brook certainly adds to the towns beauty and charm, with gorgeous stone buildings lining the main streets. Pick up a Bowman Street or Historic Homes brochure from one of the local visitor information centres and meander through town to see some of the beautiful buildings and the stories they have to tell.

There are many interesting shops in the main street, so set aside some time to casually wander, window shop and pick up a bargain! Enjoy nature at its finest at Bowman Park. The ruins of the original 1840s pastoral run homestead established by the Bowman brothers can still be seen within the well-built garden wall. There is also a function centre which is very popular for weddings and social events. Bowman Park connects to the famous walking trail, the Heysen Trail.

The railway junction of the Adelaide, Sydney and Perth lines runs through Crystal Brook and iconic trains such as The Ghan and The Indian Pacific pass through town several times a week. Visitors can often be seen at the picnic table and seating near the railway line having a bite to eat while enjoying train spotting.
