Port Germein

The tradition of quaint seaside holidays is alive and well at Port Germein. Breathe in the fresh sea air in a pretty town that takes in both the Spencer Gulf and the Flinders Ranges.

Port Germein's jetty is one of the regions fishing and crabbing hotspots. The town is renowned for blue swimmer crabs which are plentiful in shallow tidal waters. But if you dont want to cast a line (or net) take a stroll around along the 1.5 kilometre jetty and take in the views.

The Port Germein foreshore is a pleasure in itself. Look out to the mangrove tidal estuary and see the amazing bird specifies. Have a round of golf on the bush course located just off National Highway One and call into the art gallery and museum.

Cook up your catch on one of the free BBQs while the kids stretch their legs on the playground. This park also includes a Mosaic Trail, with local community groups creating beautiful mosaic tops on each of the picnic tables.

Visitors are invited to keep fit and healthy on the outdoor gym while taking in the water views or visit the tennis courts or bowling green you are most welcome!
