Located 45km north of Port Pirie, Mount Remarkable National Park's scenic gorges, spectacular views and varied flora and fauna make it one of the premier natural attractions in the Southern Flinders Ranges.

Mount Remarkable is the highest peak in the park 960m tall! It can be reached via the Mount Remarkable Summit Hike leaving from Melrose. This stunning walk provides a rewarding challenge and impressive views.

As well as Mount Remarkable itself, the other must visit destinations are Alligator Gorge and Mambray Creek. The extensive walking trails provide the perfect opportunity to explore the park's diverse habitats. The best time to visit the park is from autumn to spring when the weather is mild and the vegetation and wildlife are thriving.

Be sure to pay entry fees and book camping and accommodation on National Parks the website. Cash payments are not taken at the park.
