Being close to the outback often people are surprised to find fresh and native produce available throughout the Southern Flinders Ranges. In fact, quandong (native peach) pies, Golden North ice cream, feral food platters, organic vegetables, succulent honey, world class wine and wattleseed coffee are just some of the many delicious products available. Youll find orchards, vegetable growers, farmers markets and artisan producers making local delicacies such as smoked kangaroo meat, olive oil and even pickled capers.

This part of South Australia also continues the states winemaking tradition, with award-winning wines that can stand up against the best in Australia. And dont forget the richness of the waters along the Gulf St Vincent, with abundant seafood available all year around.

We have collected together some of the regions best food and wine experiences, creating two trails to help you as you explore. At each stop, you will meet with local producers and sample their diverse array of wares. The trails represent only a small number of our great producers, and we encourage you to stay longer, look closer and discover the culinary richness of the Southern Flinders Ranges.
