Situated 3 hours drive from Adelaide and 5 hours from Melbourne, Bordertown is located on the Dukes Highway.

It's the birthplace of former Prime Minister, Bob Hawke, and is famous for its Wildlife Park with around 20 white Western Greykangaroos (not albinos).

There's a Recreation Lake for picnics, boating or canoeing with a bbq, shelter and a toilet for an overnight RV-friendly stop.

The recently developed Civic Centre in Woolshed Street holds the Hawke Gallery, the Walkway Art Gallery,theatre, hall, conference centre, library and Council Offices.

The Art Gallery has regular displays, usually changing monthly, and there are regular movies in the theatre.

Shopping includesa 7-day supermarket, 4 banks (ANZ, Commonwealth, Bank SA and Westpac), 2 bakeries, numerous cafes, gift and craft shops, furniture, clothing, shoes, pharmacy, etc..

For accommodation there are 4 motels, a hotel, a caravan park and 3 bed & breakfast operators.

There's an 18-hole golf course with watered greens, and for the youngstersa great skate and bikepark.TheOlympic-sized swimmingpool is open during the summer months.

There are regular meetings of the Bordertown Racing Club, go-karts and speedway. The Bordertown & Keith Gliding Club is a popular spot too.
